The Future for Electric Vehicles and our AGM

Tuesday 10th July 2018, 6.30pm - 8pm, Ivybridge Library.

We'll quickly deal with AGM business, updating you on progress with all our current projects, and our ambitions for the future. Members will be able to vote on directors who will be standing for re-election and one new director. If you are interested in getting more involved with SDCE please get in touch. If you are not yet a member it is very easy to join.

Following the AGM, hopefully 7pm ish, we'll move onto a more engaging talk about the future of electric vehicles from one of our directors, Peter Crone.

Peter is an advocate for electric vehicles and using them as energy storage and for powering our homes. Peter and his company have been instrumental in the development of wind energy in the UK, originating the London Array, which was until recently the world's largest offshore wind farm. Now Peter is looking at how electric vehicles can work alongside renewable energy generation and has a pilot scheme running on the Isle of Lewis.

We'll also have four electric cars for you to see:

• Tesla Model X
• Tesla Model S P100 with Ludicrous Mode 
• Mercedes B class full electric
• Golf GTE plug in hybrid
