![]() We are exploring the potential to have an exemplar community-led affordable and sustainable housing initiative in the Ivybridge area, to show the big developers what's possible and what local people really want. But what do you want future housing developments to be like - if you want any at all? Join us for this engagement evening to share your thoughts on the type of housing Ivybridge really needs, sustainable housing design and how to build communities rather than just 'estates'. There will be inspiring presentations on what's possible from Bailey Partnership and Warm: Low Energy Building Practice, with plenty of time to share your thoughts. Everyone welcome and refreshments provided. Thursday 22nd February, 7-9pm. Ivybridge Library, PL21 0SZ

![]() To celebrate National Community Energy Fortnight, South Dartmoor Community Energy invites you to join them on the 5th July, from 7-8.30 in Ivybridge Library for an introduction into the community energy revolution that’s happening all around us. Community Energy Groups from across the South Hams are actively helping residents to engage in local energy generation projects, as well as helping them to save energy and money in their homes. Their work takes place against a very challenging political back drop and within a very complex energy sector that’s currently dominated by big players. The evening will include presentations from Regen, Plymouth Energy Community and SDCE and will explain how communities are taking control of local generation and reaping the benefits of doing so. Information will also be available about Yealm Community Energy and the South Brent Community Energy Society. There will be a question and answer session and a chance to put forward your thoughts on local opportunities for renewable energy projects. The event is free to attend. If you’re thinking of coming please e-mail Katie@southdartmoorcommunityenergy.org or call 0800 112 3044, so that we can keep track of numbers for chairs and refreshments. A mini interactive exhibition on all things energy, activities for all ages. Advice and information for householders.
